Summary : Remains of an Augustinian priory, 1216-1536, and priory church, 13th century. The Priory was originally founded at Rudham in 1140, (TF82NW33), and moved to the present site in 1216. It was dissolved in 1536. There are remains of the 13th century priory church including a fragment of the North crossing with part of the North chancel attached, and a detached North-East angle of the chancel. These indicate 13th and 15th century work. |

The extant masonry is in good condition and all earthworks are grassed over; the site falls on private land not open to the public. (5)
