MONUMENT NO. 35412

DESCRIPTION + /

The remains of a field system can be seen as earthworks on Shallowford Common, Lynton and Lynmouth, which had been classified as a collection of hut circles. The area has been used for surface stone quarrying resulting in a collection of hollows and mounds. There are also traces of walls which are clearly field boundaries, and it is possible that the field system is prehistoric in date.
