More information : Nearly three quarters of a mile south-west of St. Ives Cross (see TF 31 NE/8), TF 389 181, is another cross stone, somewhat sunk in the ground. Traditionally a market cross, but more probably a boundary cross or for religious purposes. [Possibly the stone published on OS 6" at TF 3811 1729?]. (1)
The `stone' at TF 3811 1729 is a restored, medieval, wayside cross; obviously that referred to by authy 1. See GP AO/65/33/1. (2)
