Summary : Medieval moated house, possibly a grange, originally owned by Swineshead Abbey. The moat has been levelled and ploughed out, the current buildings do not contain any re-used material from earlier structures.
More information : [TF 2548 4203] Hardwick Grange on site of [T.I.] HARDWICK GRANGE [G.T.]. (1) Hardwick Grange belonged to Swineshead Abbey, and was listed in the crown bailiff's report when the abbey was dissolved in 1534. (2) Hardwick Grange is a nondescript building - now two farm cottages. There are no indications of an earlier house. (3) Moat levelled and ploughed, few visible remains. (4)
