Site of a possible Roman building uncovered in 1959 at Cannon's Farm, Punchbowl Lane during excavations. Features included ditches and hollows, plus pottery of the 2nd to late 4th century AD. In 1957-8, a denarius of Septimius Severus, potsherds and animal bones had been found in the same area. Ordnance Survey field investigation in 1964 noted a scatter of Roman pottery. The site is located circa TF 28734555. This is presumably the site listed by Scott in her gazetteer of Roman villas.
