(1) PARISH OF PINCHBECK BOURNE ROAD 22/1 GD II Building incorporating former Boiler House at Pode Hole Pumping Station The former boiler house, circa 1825 brick building with low pitched hipped slate roof with wide eaves. It is a single storey shed with two large arched openings at the front, now blocked and with metal frame windows inserted in one and double doors in the other. Modern brick addition adjoining to right with a rainwater head dated 1825. Late C19 or early C20 addition on left hand side with large painted board with bye-laws of "Deeping Fen Spalding and Pinchbeck Drainage Board" dated 1876. In front of this a keystone, dated 1806 incorporated into what appears to be a mounting block with inscription "Sharps Bridge Keystone". (2) TF 213220. Pode Hole Pumping Station. The engines were installed in 1825 and it was at one time the largest steam installation in the fens. They ceased operating in 1925 and were scrapped in 1952. The drainage board are establishing a museum in the building. (3)
