More information : A small drainage pumping station at Spalding Marsh (name centred TF 2726). In 1970 the engine was supposedly standby and therefore presumably in good condition. As the earliest (1833) `A' frame engine in situ this engine would warrant further attention. (1) (TF 26162613) Pinchbeck Marsh Pumping Station (NAT). (2) TF 262262. Pinchbeck Marsh Pumping Station - Beam Engine; built in 1833 and was the last steam driven scoop wheel to work in the fens.
