Summary : Parish church. Circa 1200, 15th century, 1863 restoration by Ewan Christian. Greenstone squared rubble with ashlar dressings and some brick raising, green slate roofs with stone coped gables, crosses fleury and decorative tiled ridges. Nave with western bellcote, north aisle, chancel, south porch, vestry. Parts of a late 12th century decorated cross within interior (not in situ).

Much rebuilt and restored in 1863. Retains a good Early English north arcade. The shaft of an Early English churchyard cross is built into the outer wall between the nave and chancel. (2)

The church is in normal use. Inside the church on either side of the chancel arch are two pieces of a tall richly decorated cross of 12th/13th century character. There is little evidence of
weathering, and it doubtless originally stood within the
adjacent Benedictine House. (TF 17 SE 3) G.P's AO/64/60/4 and 5. (3)
