[Name TF 1057 3390] Birthorpe is a small village which
once had its own parish church. A priest was last instituted here about 1430. It is mentioned in Domesday and in 14th century documents is noted as combined with Ouceby (TF 13) (1-2)
One field, under permanent pasture, to the north of the manor house has amorphous disturbances representing shrinkage. (3)
