MONUMENT NO. 35037

DESCRIPTION + /

A group of at least four Bronze Age barrows are visible as earthworks on moorland north of North Twitchen, Brayford. They are referred to by Grinsell as High Bray Barrow nos. 10-13 and vary in size and condition from 16m to 28m in diameter and 0.7m to 1m in height. At least two have suffered from stone robbing leaving hollows and trenches in their profiles. The Devon HER has identified a fifth barrow in the group, while aerial survey for Exmoor National park in 2008 has identified a possible sixth.
