FIVE BARROWS

DESCRIPTION + /

A group of Bronze Age barrows numbering nine, possibly ten, despite the name that has been assigned to them, the Five Barrows. They are situated on Five Barrows Hill, the summit of Western Common, indicating the area was probably named after the monuments. They measure from between 14m to 35m in diameter and between 0.5m to 2.5m in height.
