More information : [TF 0003 1598] WELL [G.T.] (1) Holeywell parish affords the only Lincolnshire example of a place-name definitely associated with religious water lore. Near the site of the old church are two springs, Holy Well and St. Winifreds, see SK 91 N.E. 8 (2) The published well has an old stone lining and a modern concrete superstructure. There is a strong local tradition of religious association. (3) No change since 17.6.65 (4)
