More information : TF 0529 1658 St Andrew's Church (NAT). (1) The Church of St Andrew, Witham on the Hill, retains Transitional to Perpendicular features, but includes debased work of 1738. It was much restored in 1874. (2-3) The church is in normal use. A Medieval cross base 0.5 m high, 0.9 m square with chamfered stops and a lower portion of the shaft, 0.45 m high and 0.35 m square, is built into a war memorial at TF 05291656. A second cross base, at TF 05291657, 0.35 m high and 0.8 m square, has a socket 0.6 m square filled with earth. (4)
