REWLEY ABBEY

DESCRIPTION + /

Site of Cistercian Abbey founded in 1281 and dissolved in 1536. The only surviving features of the abbey include sections of the Precinct wall and a 15th century gateway. Excavations have recovered part of the plan of the east claustral range to the north of the church, and the west end of the aisled nave.
