More information : A manor or camera of the Knights Templar existed at Sibford (SP 3537). The order was suppressed in 1312. (1-2)

Sibforde, now Sibford Ferris (SP 3537) is recorded as owned by the Knights Templar in 1185 (a) Temple Mills (SP 3436) named on the Enclosure Award of Sibford Gower parish in 1774 is so called from the Sibford Ferris possession. (3)
