Bockidene Grange. Various local enquiries established the fact that this moat is reputed to be the site of Bockidene or Bockendon Grange, destroyed at the Dissolution. (Note place-names in (3) stop c.1542). Moat - a near square, homestead moat the southern and western arms of which are waterfilled, the remainder dry. The enclosed area is now occupied by two buildings and there is no sign of former habitation. General condition of moat, fair - heavily overgrown. (4)
