(1) Castle Bridge built of ashlar in 1790-93 by William Eborall consists of a single span of one segmental arch with a monumental balustrade with curved terminations on plan at each end, and a heavily moulded string course below. Grade 2*. (2) Scheduled as 'Castle Bridge'. (3) Additional bibliography. (4)
