More information : (SK 9246) A large Roman site was noticed at Hough on the Hill after ploughing, and there was evidence from the stone scatter of at least four buildings. Much pottery and roofing tiles were found and there were traces of wattle and daub. A scatter of Saxon pottery was also noticed over the site. (1)

Nothing visible. (2)

The site is recorded on Lincoln Museum 6" at SK 907464. The area is flat and under first year grass. Investigation produced no finds or evidence of occupation. The farmer and his ploughman have not noticed any RB material in the plough here, and have no knowledge of the site. It is possible that Mr Kerr may have given an incorrect position of the site to the museum, but he is at present in Wales and was not contacted. (3)
