Summary : Pickworth, shrunken village (deserted late 15thc)
More information : Pickworth DMV. Probably empty in 1491. Ruined church since rebuilt (SK 992138). (1)

Supposed that Pickworth was devastated by the rebels before the
battle of Losecoat Field in 1470. In 1491 the parish had no
parishioners. (2)

Traces of old floors and fireplaces have been found in casual
excavations, though no proper reports on the subject can be
found. (3)

Slight evidence of DMV on AP's. (4)

Pickworth is a small extant village and although there are some
remains of earlier occupation to be seen there is not enough to
constitute desertion and it can be classified as shrinkage. (5)
