ST MARY AND ST PETERS CHURCH

Parish church. Nave north arcade late 12th century, south arcade and south aisle early 13th century, tower early 14th century, chancel south arcade and south chapels circa 1325-1350, tower bell stage, spire and clerestorey late 14th century, east end circa 1400, north chapel and north aisle early 15th century. South porch rebuilt 1858, in the course of extensive restoration. Further heavy restoration 1890, by John Oldrid Scott. Chancel with side chapels, nave with clerestorey and aisles, south porch, west tower with spire.
