Summary : Originally a prebendal house, now a farmhouse. Built in the 13th or 14th century as a three storey tower house. A timber framed hall was added to the left of the tower in 1580-1630 and further extensions were built in the 18th and early 19th centuries. Restored in 1965.
More information : SK 69055172 - Prebendal House (NR) (Remains of). (1)

Halloughton was a prebend of Southwell Collegiate Church, and Manor Farm was the prebendal house.

The oldest part of the farm is the three storey, 14th century tower house, (at SK 69065174), of which there is only one other example in Nottinghamshire (Beauvale Priory at SK 49234904).
There is no evidence of earlier or contemporary building abutting the tower, and the present remains must have constituted the complete residence. Restoration work was carried out in 1965, and the roof and gables have been completely replaced.

A timber-framed hall was added to the tower 1580-1630. (2)
