Summary : The remains of a Medieval tower, part of the Conisbrough Castle complex. The fragmentary remains comprise the foundations of a semi-circular tower, situated on the left hand side of the entry to the inner ward.
More information : Part of the plinth of a turret (probably one of a
pair) exists on the left-hand side of the entry to the Inner
Ward. (1)

The remains of this tower at SK 5143 9888 are very fragmentary
consisting only of the foundations of a semi-circular tower
4.6 m. in diameter and 0.1 m. high. At present it is being
renovated by M.O.W. No photograph was possible due to girders
and tarpaulins being placed around it by M.O.W. (2)

Correctly described by preceding authorities. See G.P.
