CODNOR CASTLE

DESCRIPTION + /

Remains of a castle of 13th and 14th century date, with later additions, now ruinous. The moat has been mostly destroyed by ironstone workings, though it may have already been affected by landscaping activity in the 17th century. Part of a formerly three storeyed tower and the walls to the outer court survive.
