MONUMENT NO. 314585

A hoard of 30-40 Roman coins, corroded together, including coins of Decius, Gallienus, Victorinus, and Tetricus (AD 249-273), was found in 1823 or 1828 immediately adjoining the N.E. side of Old Great Dam at Crookesmoor. A late 3rd century hoard.
