Summary : A rock shelter located in a narrow ravine called Demon's Dale. Excavation in 1948 recovered Bronze Age and Romano-British potsherds, later prehistoric flint implements plus human remains representing at least two individuals, suggested to be of Neolithic or Bronze Age date. Mesolithic activity was expected, but had not been discovered by the time the sole note relating to the excavations had been published. Finds from the excavation are in Sheffield City Museum.
