Summary : A large bowl barrow overlying the bank of Arbor Low henge (see Monument No. 308656). The barrow has been dug into on several occasions during the 18th and 19th centuries. A small six-sided cist containing three food vessels was found. The barrow mound is circa 25 metres in diameter and 2.4 metres high with no trace of a surrounding ditch.

The large barrow which forms one side of the southern entrance to Arbor Low was investigated in 1770, 1782, 1824, & 1845 when a small six-sided cist was discovered containing two Food Vessels of Manby's Type 3 (iii) and 4(ii) and a third now lost. (2-3)

A large barrow on the bank of Arbor Low with no evidence of a ditch. Diameter 25.0m., max.ht. 2.4 m., in a considerably
disturbed area. (4)

Re-surveyed at 1/2500.
