More information : In 1288 the Grange at Onecote (SK 046554) was held by Croxden Abbey (SK 03 NE 1). (1)

The present farmhouse at Onecote Grange dates from 1884 and all the farm buildings are fairly modern. The tenant, G R Crichlow, knows of no tradition linking his farm with Croxden Abbey, but he pointed out an irregular raised area, at 04645549, as the traditional site of the previous farmhouse, where he had seen foundation some thirty years ago.
