Summary : The remains of a prehistoric settlement and field system located on the northern shoulder of Hart Heugh. The monument includes an irregular sub-rectangular enclosure 30 metres by 40 metres defined by a bank 2 metres wide which stands between 0.2 metres and 0.3 metres high. There is an entrance 1.5 metres wide on the east and a small annexe about 9 metres square abuts the western bank. To the west of the enclosure are three field clearance cairns, on average about 3 metres in diameter and up to 0.25 metres high. To the west of the cairns are four hut circles which measure between 5 metres and 7 metres in diameter. The site was originally scheduled as a Roman settlement but has now been rescheduled as a settlement of prehistoric date. Scheduled.
