More information : A grange in Little Busby (NZ 5104) was granted to Fountains Abbey by Richard Malebiche (1) and is mentioned in 1180-90 (2). It may possibly have been the reason for depopulation of
Little Busby (see NZ 50 SW 19). A 'culture' called Lingehau formed part of the grange lands. (1)

Rievaulx Abbey also held land in Little Busby. (2)
