Summary : A deserted medieval village extant between 1086 and 1334, now partly visible as earthworks.
More information : NZ 483 070 The lost village of Skutterskelfe, now a Hall and four scattered farms, is mentioned in the Domesday Book and Lay Subsidy accounts of 1301, 1327 and 1334. (1)

An area of ground centred at NZ 4853 0695 is crossed from N to S by a hollow way. On either side of this depression can be seen slight evidence of artificial ground disturbance suggestive of a deserted village site. The remains however form no coherent pattern and were not surveyed. (2)
