Summary : Possible Roman pottery kilns identified at Calleva Atrebatum. The sites were identifed during field walking and comprised kiln debris, wasters and pottery. Production took place during the first century. It is thought this site may be associated with the two Roman kiln sites identified in 1909 (see UID 241214) but this is not certain.
More information : SU 64406260 and SU 64446262. First century kiln-debris, wasters and pottery found during fieldwalking and by excavation, 1979-80. (1-2)
