Summary : Site of the Abbot of Abingdon's mansion at Barton Farm, destroyed in 1327, and it's successor destroyed in the Civil War, (remains of).

The ruins of the Abbot of Abingdon's mansion are still visible near Barton Farm, Abingdon and their extent shows that the house was of considerable size. The original Abbot's house was burnt down in 1327 and the present ruins are probably those of its successor, which was destroyed in the Civil War. (2)
