More information : A messuage and 14 acres in Upton were granted to Beaulieu Abbey by Roger Bernevall in 1312. (1)
The 'grange or manor of Upton' which belonged to Beaulieu Abbey is very probably 'Upton Manor', although documentary evidence is lacking. The bounds of Vernham Dean in 1410 (a), so far as they can be reconstructed, indicate that the grange lay in that neighbourhood. (2)
SU 35675582. Upton Manor, formerly called Manor Farm, is a Georgian building with no traces of earlier work. (3)
