Summary : The proposed site of Roman turret 13B, part of the defences on Hadrian's Wall. It is located under Rudchester fort, there are no visible remains.
More information : NZ 111 675. Turret 13B (site of) (1) NZ 1114 6758 (2). This turret, commonly supposed to underlie the fort (Vindovala), should by measurement be some 80 yards west of its west wall, or 144 from its centre line, underneath the modern road where an old toll-cottage stands. (3) There are no surface indications of the site. (4) There are no surface indications of the turret between NZ 111 675 and NZ 112 675 and it must be regarded as unlocated. (5) Scheduled (6) Located on the English Heritage map of Hadrian's Wall 2010. (7)
