The site of a grange situated in Swinesleys. (2)

All the buildings at Swinesleys Farm are modern and the farmer knows of no stonework in the vicinity. Capt H Widnell, Keeper of Monuments at Palace House, Beaulieu, says that Swinesleys takes its name from Sweyn its owner at the time of Domesday. He has no knowledge of a grange here. (3)
