More information : NZ 128138. Deserted Medieval village of Girlington, first mentioned in the Domesday Book now only a hall. Nothing visible on OS air photographs. (1-2) Girlington Hall is a modernised 17th/18th century farmstead. Its holding is largely arable, and there is little ground evidence of depopulation, other than outlying rig and furrow. (3)
