More information : ('A' - SU 15321887) Stone Coffin (TI) ('B' - SU 15321918) Stone Coffin (TI) (1) Four typical 13th c stone coffins. Three are at 'A', beneath an old yew tree in St. Mary's Churchyard, and one is at 'B' in the gardens of Breamore House. According to an undated Guide to Breamore they are from the Monk's Cemetery of Breamore Priory (SU 11 NE 12) and they are identical to those in the Canon's Burial ground there. (2) ('A' - SU 15311886 (only one shown) and 'B' - SU 15321917). (3) One coffin is visible at 'B' and only one at 'A'. The other two at 'A' are probably buried under rubbish beneath the Yew Tree. Published 1:2500s correct. (4)
