II* Easby House

C18. 3 storey ashlar dressed colour washed rubble centre, with
quoins, cornice and parapet, 5 sashes in architrave surrounds with
double keystones. C19 stone porch with Doric pilasters. 2 storey
red brick wings, ashlar dressed: R.H. 3 light stone mullion sash;
L.H. 2 ground floor sashes, first floor venetian window, no
parapet, stone slates. ? interior. (2)

In July 2010, English Heritage carried out a rapid field survey at Level 1 of the environs of Easby Abbey to inform presentation of the Guardianship site. The investigation identified a mid-18th century designed landscape (1521311) associated with the Hall, which evidently encompassed the ruins of the Abbey (21624) and was designed around 'borrowed' views across the site (3)
