GROVELY CASTLE

DESCRIPTION + /

Univallate Iron Age hillfort with 3.2 metre high ramparts and 1.5 metre deep ditches. Iron Age inhumations were found in the ramparts. Entrances are present in the southwest and northeast. A circular enclosure was identified on aerial photographs in the hillfort interior.
