Summary : A bowl barrow on Gussage Hill, located among the earthworks of the later prehistoric settlement (ST 91 SE 3) and part of a small group of barrows located just south of the Dorset Cursus (Linear 41). Listed by Grinsell as Gussage St Michael 17 and by RCHME as Gussage St Michael 32. RCHME fieldwork recorded the barrow as a mound 52 feet in diameter and 6 feet high, but reduced by ploughing.
More information : (ST 99681372) Tumulus (NR). (1) A bowl barrow on the summit of Gussage Hill lies among the earthworks of the settlement (ST 91 SE 3). It is 52ft in diameter and 6ft high but has been reduced by ploughing. (2)
