Summary : The site of Roman turret 19A, part of the defences on Hadrian's Wall. The turret appears to have been dismantled in Roman times; evidence of the last occupation is from pottery, none of which dated later than AD 200. There is no trace apart from a 5 metre stretch of rough walling, 0.8 metres high, embodied within a hedge at NZ 0286 6859. The rest of the turret is under the road. |

"NZ 0286 6859" Located and excavated in 1932. The turret is of the standard B series (door at W end of S wall). (2-4)
No visible remains; the site is covered by a modern road. (5)
