MONUMENT NO. 204516

DESCRIPTION + /

Supposed hillfort on Duncorn Hill, the suggestion based on scarps of artifical appearance seen from a nearby road. Field investigation in 1966, however, showed the scarps to be natural. A 'canedd' or piles of stones are noted on the hill in a late 18th century county history, but no trace of a cairn or pile of stones was found during field investigation and at that time had not been locally known 'within living memory'.
