AQUAE SULIS

DESCRIPTION + /

The site of the Roman town of Bath, dating from the mid first century AD. Main features include the baths, the temple of Sulis Minerva and the town defences. Much of the bath and temple complex has been excavated, and part of the main bath complex has been reconstructed in the 19th century.
