Summary : The site of Roman turret 17A, part of the defences on Hadrian's Wall. There are no visible remains, it is under the modern road.

Located in the normal position, and excavated in 1931. The door was in the SW corner, and the ladder-platform in the SE. (2)

No visible remains. Site covered by modern road. (3)

The turret was located and excavated in 1931 (4a) and (4b) as described by Bruce (2). There is no surface trace of the turret; the excavated site at NZ 0579 6824 is beneath the modern road. (4)
