Summary : A probable Bronze Age bowl barrow, listed by Grinsell as Chewton Mendip 2, is extant as an earthwork mound circa 20 metres in diameter and up to 2 metres in height. It is located circa 80 metres southeast of the southernmost of the Priddy Circles (ST 55 SW 124). A number of boundaries converge on its summit, and it stands on the Chewton Mendip - Priddy parish boundary. The mound is mentioned in 18th century perambulations as Castle Barrow or Froom Barrow.
