Hob Uid: 194587
Location :

Summary : Miscellaneous Neolithic and Bronze Age flint and bronze artefacts from the Cheddar area, in various collections. They include a Bronze Age spearhead attributed to one of Gough's Caves, and an Early Bronze Age bronze flat axe possibly from The Slitter (ST 45 SE 9).
More information : CHEDDAR MOOR & CLIFFS: Miscellaneous finds.

Hollow-based arrow heads, in Bristol Mus., F.282:

Three polished flint axes, private information: possibly in Mr.
Parry's Collection, Cheddar .

Bronze spearhead in poss. of R.F. Parry (Peake Catalogue).

Bronze spearhead Messrs. Gough Cheddar Cave (Peak Catalogue).

Flat Bronze Axe in poss. of R.F. Parry. (Peake Catalogue). This may
be the same Axe referred to by Dewar. 'Found in the first slitter on the right hand side of Gorge, by a man named Card, c.1900 was in the R.F. Parry Collection. Information from the Bulleid Cat.'. (1-2)

The collection of the late R.F. Parry is in Wells Museum. It is
uncatologued and there seems to be no means of determining whether
it is complete. It includes a flat axe labelled 'from the Slitter
Cave, Cheddar' (probably the Slitter leading to Long Hole, ST 45
SE 9), but there are no flint axes labelled with Parry's name. (3)
