More information : 'A' 'B' [ST4536 5713: ST 4531 5701] TUMULUS [G.T., Twice]. (1) 'A' T.181 51o 18' 37" 42o 47' 1" Bowl barrow: consists of a crescent shaped mound, the northern portion and part of the central mass having been dug away. Built of stones, it is now [1927] 4' high x 40' across the horns. 'B' T.182 51o 18' 33" 2o 47' 4" bowl barrow, largely destroyed. Piles of stones added in recent years (3) Scheduled (both). (2-4) 'B' - (Grinsell'e Shipham 5) is a cairn 0.4m high, cut by an E-W wall. The southern half is only faintly visible. Surveyed at 1/2500. 'A' - (Shipham 6) is an irregular shaped pile of stones situated at the junction of two field banks. There are several others on the banks of a post-Md. field system and all are undoubtedly clearance mounds. (5)
