MONUMENT NO. 194147

A logboat was found and damaged during ditch clearing near to the Glastonbury lake village site in 1892. The boat was hollowed from a single piece of oak and although fairly complete when found is now fragmentary. The boat was assumed to relate to the village and therefore has been ascribed an Iron Age date of c100BC. It is in the Glastonbury Museum.
