The church was endowed on 10-JUN-1622, but was not completed until 1689-90 by George stawell, when it was consecrated. The earlier church was dependant on High Ham upon the manor of the Berkeleys. The Decorated windows appear to be original. The church was not donative, but rather a private chapel of the lord of the manor, and has no consecrated enclosure of any kind. (5,6)
Church without dedication (?), Low Ham. Parish church since 1921, formerly private chapel of the manor. On the site of an earlier church, it was completed in 1690. In Gothic revival style, it is a 4-unit plan of 2-bay chancel, 3-bay nave, north and south aisles, and a west tower. Grade I. (7,8)
