More information : Apart from the gatehouse (ST 41 NE 6) the only other
remains of the priory is a square dovecoate standing a little
to the E of the gatehouse. The field behind the house, however,
contains evidence of former buildings. (1)
ST 49701686. The square medieval dovecote survives intact, with
a small arched doorway, tiled roof and the interior lined with
nesting boxes. The field centred ST 49661683 has been so
disturbed by stone robbing that no surface plan is readily
discernible in the undulations, irregular scarps and hollows
which occur in the area. (2)
